Project Manager
Location: Colchester
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team. This position is responsible for the management, coordination and delivery of retail customer pilots and projects in the UK and across our global regions, from project initiation to project closure and review. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects are fully tracked, managed, and governed to ensure correct prioritization, delivery on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering something physical to customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all key customer pilots and projects and proactively engaging with customers, sales, implementation managers, customer services, purchasing, third party partners and other internal, and external stakeholders.
- Manage project intake & initiation process to enable the flow of projects through pipeline.
- Create a Scope of Works (SOW) for each project, clearly detailing the success criteria, roles and responsibilities, constraints and timeline for each project and ensure we are set up to deliver and measure the success against the SOW.
- Identify projects at-risk/in-trouble status and driving them back-to-green.
- Ensure delivery methodology is adhered to throughout the project, to include project closure and lessons learned in order to drive continuous improvement.
- Build out Gantt charts to show delivery actions, schedule, owners, and risk; tracking action status and holding delivery stakeholders to account.
- Track and forecast cost-to-deliver, comparing forecast to actual and identifying cost saving opportunities.
- Act as a key point of contact with customers on projects, capturing requirements, reporting and monitoring, coordinating and attending meetings virtually and/or in person, reviewing progress to plan, challenges and risks, mitigation and remediation action where required.
- Internal meeting facilitation and management (scheduling in person / virtual meetings, taking minutes, tracking actions) for cross-functional meetings and reporting, and governance.
- Ensure Project Management systems are accurate, up-to-date and used in accordance with correct practice.
- Produce Project Status and metric/KPI reporting monthly and as needed by Head of Delivery.
- Design and maintain templates and documents used in the project lifecycle.
- Proactively work to develop and improve the project delivery processes in line with best practices.
- Educate and train stakeholders on best practice for project delivery to drive engagement, compliance, and successful project delivery.
- Work with Compliance Manager to develop and ensure processes and procedures are fully compliant with ISO standards.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Include:
3+ years of Product Management experience delivering something physical to the customer and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrable experience in successful execution, management and delivery of projects or programs with large customers across multiple sites.
- Excellent organisational skills with emphasis on priorities and timebound deliverables in a deadline driven environment.
- Experience working in a matrix environment, coordinating stakeholders and holding them to account on deliverables.
- Experience as key contact and working closely with customers on projects to coordinate and manage delivery and risks.
- Experience in providing project and Board level reporting.
- Excellent Microsoft skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams. Experience with MS Project and/or Smartsheet a plus.
- Experience creating Gantt charts to display project tasks and timelines.
- Experience delivering best-of-breed customer service and project delivery.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and internationally (as required from time to time) to support and drive successful project delivery.
- Certification in project management, e.g. PMI / Prince2 or equivalent, a plus.
- Experience or knowledge of loss prevention industry, a plus.
- Authorization to work indefinitely in the UK without restrictions or sponsorship.
