Graphic Designer
Location: Colchester, UK (hybrid)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering a wide spectrum of marketing and design projects. From website updates, sales and marketing collateral for social media and print, to PowerPoint and InDesign presentations, tenders, technical sheets, and graphics for exhibitions. The ideal candidate will have a wide breadth of design and marketing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating design work to demanding deadlines.
- Maintaining the Sekura Marketing and Design collateral shared library and maintaining a clear and accessible filing system and archive for the organisation’s use.
- Project ownership – reporting to and liaising with the Global Marketing and Design Manager and Sekura Teams in the production of spec sheets, user guides, tenders, emailers, presentations and event support to further strengthen the organisation’s brand awareness globally.
- Updating the website and uploading social media posts when needed.
- Liaise with members of the team to discuss workflow and requirements.
- Help to quickly and calmly resolve any issues related to work produced and support other members of the team with problem solving when the need arises.
- Ensure all artwork produced meets the needs, requirements, and brand values of Sekura Retail.
- Attend regular Teams meetings to discuss the workload and when needed, in person at the office.
- You should be able to liaise with and work collaboratively with the Global Marketing and Design Team and wider teams in the business.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years’ experience in a professional/corporate/studio art working/design role.
- Industry relevant qualifications (i.e., HND/BA, Graphic Design)
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft programmes, InDesign, Photoshop illustrator. Experience with Premier Pro a plus.
- Understanding of photography and image manipulation.
- Experience working in both print and digital formats.
- Working knowledge of WordPress (website), experience/understanding of SEOs with a view to maximise website traffic.
- Social media experience/understanding with social media platforms as a marketing tool.
- Comprehensive understanding of graphic design including typography and layout. Up to date knowledge of the latest design trends
- Able to act proactively and with limited direct supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to develop and sustain effective relationships internally, and with external bodies and suppliers.
- Able to work accurately with detailed information and to ensure that practical tasks are effectively implemented.
- Strong portfolio of high-quality projects demonstrating experience with a range of projects.
- Strong organization, presentation and communication skills with project management capabilities.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about design and marketing with a creative flair and a good eye for detail.
- Authorisation to work indefinitely in the UK without restriction or sponsorship.
