Account and Business Development Manager
Location: Canada
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Account and Business Development Manager to be responsible for developing and expanding opportunities with existing retail customers and uncovering new sales opportunities in order to achieve business goals.
The ideal candidate will be based in a major metropolitan area with close access to the airport and have experience with B2B sales of inventory-based products to large retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets with existing accounts.
- Prospect and qualify new leads; positioning Sekura Global as a credible partner while strengthening the global brand.
- Collaborate with internal team to help prospects understand our products and solutions, maximize service to customers and drive revenue growth with both new and existing customers.
- Close sales through effective negotiation and by overcoming objections.
- Onboard new customers and serve as the primary point of contact while nurturing trusted, long-lasting relationships.
- Develop and manage account plans, business review meetings, and proposals to grow and support the business.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4 + years’ corporate experience as a business development manager, account manager, sales rep, or similar role, selling inventory-based products to large retailers.
- An experienced consultative salesperson with a hunter mentality that has a proven track record of winning deals that can take up to 12 months to close and increasing sales.
- Strong prospecting skills that include but are not limited to client outreach, persuasive communication, fact-finding, presentation, negotiation, and closing the sale.
- Strong communication skills, particularly around customer outreach, uncovering needs, presentation, persuasion, and negotiation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, having the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders.
- Highly driven and results focused.
- Strong time management and planning skills.
- Knowledge of the loss prevention industry is preferable but not mandatory.
- Degree in business administration, marketing, or a similar field a plus.
- Ability to travel nationally approximately 50% of the time.
