Business Development/ Sales Manager (Germany)

Location: Germany

We are looking for an experienced consultative salesperson with experience of selling to large retail end users in Germany, who is target driven and resilient. The core responsibility of this role is to increase revenues with existing key accounts and uncover new sales opportunities and win new business through meaningful cold calling/emailing, and innovative networking strategies. With a focus on targeted profile customers, largest retailers with a high street presence, you will identify business opportunities, arrange initial meetings, manage quotations, and initial orders, and onboard the customer before handoff to account management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4 years’ corporate sales experience into large retailers as business development manager, sales representative, or similar role
  • Business Development mentality with a proven track record in building a customer base and increasing sales
  • Strong skills around customer outreach, prospect qualification, persuasive communication, fact-finding, presentation, negotiation, and closing the sale
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, having the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Accountability, accepting responsibility for actions
  • The self-motivation required to reach the goal or perform a task with little supervision or direction
  • Solid time management and planning skills
  • Fluent in both German and English language
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • Knowledge of the loss prevention industry, a plus.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, or relevant field a plus
  • Ability to travel nationally (limited international travel may be required)
